We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our Port Melbourne team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong mechanical expertise and experience in heavy manufacturing environments.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Carry out bearing fitting, V-belt maintenance, laser alignment, and general mechanical rebuilds.
• Maintain and repair pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and press fittings.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment within a large-scale manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Bring:

• Trade qualification: Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in heavy manufacturing, FMCG, petrochemical, power & energy generation, or mining industries.
• Exposure to plasterboard manufacturing will be highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with confidence in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
